Cafe Deux Soleils recap - August 28, 2007
Thanks to everyone who made it out to the show on Aug. 18th. Special thanks to Vino Bro #1.5 for spreading the word.
My old friend Mike Marchi, sat in on drums for a couple of songs. Mike and I played in a band when we were 13. That's when I had my first taste of the blood the beast we call Rock and Roll!!!
Was also great to see Rachelle Kerby and Tanya Mac, or Anderson as I know her.
Peace
is flowing like a river, flowing out ......
The Revival Review - April 21, 2007

Fun times at the Railway last week. Shuggy Milligan (drums) and David Marion(bass) did a fantastic job with very few rehearsals. We shall return. We shall return.
Open Mic May 14 - May 18, 2006
Great open mic night last Sunday. My cousin Joe came by and played some tasty licks on his electric guitar. Wayne from Honey Box, brought a crew of fine musicians and friends. They had just come from a long hard day at the beach with drums in hand.
It was a fantastic night of music.

The Weekend Double Header - February 19, 2006
We had a pretty good show on Friday night at the Backstage Lounge.
I was a little off. I have number of excuses, one being that my pants were chafing me.
As we were playng Gonna Quit My Job, a surprise horn section came out of the audience, one member at time. It was so sweet. (dude) Horns really boost the energy level.
Saturday evening, Mr. Jeff Younger and myself played Skinny's Grille in Hope. I was looking to redeem myself after Friday night's satisfactory performance. (The rest of the band was more than satisfactory.) It turned out to be a great night. Really enjoyed doing the duo gig with Jeff. (Not a surprise, he's a BAD man.)
Joining us as always, on percussion was The Skinny's Blues Crew. They were fantastic. It makes it very easy and fun to play when people fall into your groove.
Thanks to everyone who came to the shows this weekend like Geddy, Bill, Greg, Snap Shot, Steve, Matt (from Freewill),Fraser......
What's Going On - February 13, 2006
"Mother, mother there's far.....
AND NOW FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY DIFFERENT
We are gearing up for the really big show at The Backstage Lounge this Friday (That's right, really big!) Joining us on drums will be Ali, from The Masses. (themasses.ca) Smash and I played with Ali in the Fall at The Kingshead Pub. He's a bad man.
Also joining the cast, playing the role as herself, will be the amazingly talented Dawn Pemberton on back vocals and soul patrol. Tune in.
What else is going on? ... Bought Damian Marley and the lastest Neil Young Disc on the weekend. Like em a lot. Yes indeed.
And what else? Ahh yes, change is going on. It stops for no man.
Must go for snacks now. Good bye.
The Railway Club - January 22, 2006
Thanks to everyone who came out to the show at the Railway Club, especially the Rossland crew. It was very unfortunate that we got on so late but these things happen. Hope you all had a good time anyways. (We did.) We will definetly be on at 10:00, March 24th at Malones. Hope to see you there.
Cheers

Jam Night at the Raven Pub - December 4, 2005
Went to the jam night at the Raven Pub last week. (Deep Cove) The host band was excellent. The guitar player, who goes by the name of Kevin was both amazing and amusing.
Hey Rock cooks food - October 30, 2005
Ross Vegas kingpin Hey Rock cooked a fine breakfast for demigod S. Robertson this morning.
Robertson who was out for a walk with his daughter decided to wake up Hey Rock to visit and purchase a copy of the CD Flow. While Hey Rock was in the kitchen S. Robertson broke into his computer and posted this news story.
Hey Rock only had this to say "flax seed oil OK"
"On Bass guitar...Smash!" - October 23, 2005
"It was extremely rewarding to play to such an attentive and appreciative
audience, as well as to play with such talented musicians onstage.
Definitely the high point for me after over a year in the band playing so
many gigs around the Province. Thanks to all who came out to the show!
Hope you enjoy the CD. We had a great time making it, again with some very
talented musicians joining us, and 'Hey Rock' Tim has realized some
excellent songs on it."
Smash
Thanks for coming out. - October 23, 2005
Fantastic time at the Backstage Lounge last night. Thanks to Andy Collins and The Jason Mitchell Band for doing the show with us. Earl Parrish put on a CLINIC as only Earl Parrish can. Shock (from Mongoose) ripped it up in a guitar duel vs Jeff Younger. (The judges scored it a tie.)
Thanks to everyone who came out. We really appreciate it.
Cheers

The Word on the Street - October 16, 2005
Word on the street is that the Naso brothers may be joining Ross Vegas on Oct. 22 at the Backstage Lounge. Ryan Naso plays trumpet in an amazing 12 piece band called 5 Alarm Funk. Kristian Naso plays trumphet in another great local band, The Deep End.
Good times, good times.
Count down is on. - October 14, 2005
One week till the big shoe. Had a rehearsal with Dawn the other night. (She's doing the backing vocals on Oct. 22) It's gonna be real good. Yes indeed.
A Night at Skinny's - October 2, 2005
Just got back from playing at Skinny's in Hope. (First blood was filmed in Hope you know.) Large thanks to Greg, Davis and Adrian who accompanied us. Great musicians and great people. Thanks also to everyone who attended the show. We had a great time. Nice to play to such responsive audience.
Kirk out.
Kingshead Pub - September 18, 2005
Fun show at the Kingshead Sept. 16. We had not played for a month, so we used the first couple sets to warm up. I have to get used the three piece formation. When we have another guitar player I can focus on singing. (Need more practice.) The amazingly talented Jeff Younger, will be playing at the cd release party.
I am going to pick up the cds tomorrow. We sent them back in order to get a clear tray rather then the white one. Looks much better.
What else....Writing some new tunes. Practicing guitar.
Went to see my friend Ryan's band,5 Alarm Funk, last weekend. Wow! Amazing twelve piece band. Check it out.
Also check out some pictures from the Kingshead gig. (Photo Gallery) Thanks to Snapshot, one of Vancouver's finest photographers.
Cheers
